Weekend Chronicles of the Deadly Boring "Family M"

Landon's not the only one feeling creative this weekend! I've spent most of my weekend in the house doing projects in my craft room, getting ready for Natalee Hahn's baby shower on Sept. 6th. So many cute projects for that...just how to get them all done is the big thought of the hour!

By the way...notice the eyebrows in this picture. Um, I think I do that too.

I'll post pictures of some of my pretty paper creations after the shower. I think Natalee might be a blog stalker from time to time and I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise. :)
I love kid art. Forget Picasso. I could stare at this all day!

So, we couldn't be happier about the upcoming 3 day weekend. We're toying with the idea of driving to visit la familia Monge in El Paso. We'll likely decide at the last minute. Seems to be our style with those types of trips.

So, I'm also working from home this weekend, researching and writing a story on blogging that will air next week. Did you know there are Moms out there who stay home and blog about the mundane and sometimes funny events of everyday life...and make between $4000 - and $40,000 a MONTH?!! Yes, I know how many zeros there are on that last figure. Here's a
link that mom who makes 40K a month! Apparently she's a former Mormon who lives in Utah and her hubby quit his job to help her with the site and they just take care of their 4 1/2 year old daughter and dogs. Hilarity is pretty much the key to her cha-ching. I have five words for you friends. I AM IN THE WRONG BUSINESS. Wait....I think that's six. Whatever!

Maybe I could do that and write about how I was so sleep deprived from trying to get Landon to sleep through the night in the Gosh for-saken "big boy bed" ...and actually dumped a load of clean, just out of the dryer and still warm... clothes BACK into the washer today!! No, I didn't even tell Carlos. Not worth the, "Honey, why did you do that?" comment. To which I might have replied, "oh, just because I love laundry soooo much, my love". (yes, I know you're reading this now, sweet hubby, and yes, it's your turn to sleep with the baby monitor on your side of the bed.) :)

Speaking of the three-foot-tall insomniac...Landon has been noticing the decorations popping up in stores and such. In fact he saw this magazine show up at our house and

he said, "Mama! Look! IT'S PUMPA-MUNKINS!" By the way, don't ask me where the mama thing came from. Still haven't figured that one out.

Have a great week and think...Three-day weekend happy thoughts!
